Lynee's father is Home

Dear friends and family,

We wanted to let you know that Lynée's dad (Fred Gross) passed away on Thursday afternoon (August 29). He left this life sitting in his recliner in the living room holding his wife's hand with Lynée, me, and his daughter-in-law around him. At lunch time that day, he had swallowed some fluid into his lungs which hindered his breathing. That afternoon, Lynée noticed he was breathing rapidly then it slowed, so we gathered around to help. His breathing stopped, and he went still.

He passed away more quickly than we expected, but we are glad his struggle and weakness are over. He was no longer able to walk, but thankfully, he didn't have pain when he was sitting. The hospice care he received in his last month was a huge blessing to him and us. His sense of humor, his dedication to Jesus Christ and his family, and his willingness to help others characterized his life and will be well remembered.

Please pray for the family. We are hoping to have a memorial on September 7. There are many things to attend to now.
