We would like to wish each of you a very happy Christmas! As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, we also invite you to celebrate that 43 language groups have received either a Bible or New Testament in their language this year (see below).
In November, Lynee and her manager facilitated another session of their online teacher orientation course, which went well. One teacher wrote, "You lay out the issues and give us a chance to think them through before we go [overseas]. All the resources are really helpful too..." Lynee also completed an online course in designing effective websites, which she hopes will help as she and her manager work on combining resources from three websites into one. She is currently taking another online course. This one will teach her how to coach people in using their strengths (using the StrengthsFinder(R) approach).
The team Alan works with is adjusting their fonts to work better for publishing Scripture on the web. Since the fonts were originally created for printing in many languages around the world, the font files are rather large. When used on the web, the files need to be smaller, so they will download more quickly, especially on mobile phones (common among many groups without Scripture). So, his team is breaking up these large fonts into smaller versions that are targeted at specific regions of the world.
We had a good trip to Georgia in September where we enjoyed seeing many of our friends, family, and partners. We also took a brief trip to New Mexico in November where we enjoyed some new scenery and visiting good friends who moved there a year ago.
Wycliffe and its Bible translation partners have reached an exciting milestone this year. For the first time in history, the number of languages that need translation work to begin is less than the number of projects we are currently working on. The number of languages that have no Scripture and need a translation has just gone under 2,000!
Listed below are some of the Bible and New Testament translations that were completed this year. All of you who partner with us have had a part in these translations too.

We've had some exceptional medical and automotive costs this year, and our committed monthly giving is about $250/mon short. Despite these factors, we finished the last twelve months in the black thanks to regular and occasional giving. "Thank You!" to all of you who are part of our work through your prayers, giving, and partnership with us. We really couldn't do our part without you.
