Dear friends and family,
We wanted to share some timely personal news with you. My mother (Esther Gross) fell about two weeks ago and cracked her hip. We decided with the doctor to wait and see if it would heal on its own, but Friday, May 14, it broke the rest of the way through, and she ended up having a partial hip replacement on Sunday. They had her sitting and standing on Monday and sitting in a chair on Tuesday, but then she started battling nausea and digestive issues - a lot. She continued to get weaker until today, May 22, when she started to seem more like herself. She’s scheduled to go to a rehab facility on Monday. We would appreciate your prayers for her, especially that she would stay motivated to work hard at getting better.
We would also appreciate prayer for us. I’ve spent several nights at the hospital and will continue to spend time with her - I'm happy I get to spend this time with her. Pray I can balance staying with her and fulfilling my work responsibilities that are increasing as we get close to our teacher orientation at the end of June. I’m so thankful that my sister-in-law is here to share in the care of my mother. We are also thankful that God brought us to Nashville when He did.
Alan has been there for me and my parents as he works to finish up the next font release, hopefully by the end of the month.
